Barbara Neijna

Barbara Neijna is a Miami-based artist who works in a variety of media from sculpture, public art, and photography. Her photographs largely depict the destruction of the natural environment as a result of chemical or industrial sources. She received her BFA in 1959 from Syracuse University and studied at the Accademia di Belle Arte di Brere, Milan, Italy. Her works can be found in both national and international collections, including The Smithsonian Institution, National Collection, Washington, D.C.; Musée du Panthéon National Haïtien, Port au Prince, Haiti; and Bass Museum of Art, Miami Beach. Writings about her work have appeared in publications like Art in America, Sculpture Magazine, ArtNews, and Art Today.
